Wind-Driven Fire Burns Mobile Home, Motorhome, 2 Vehicles in Whitewater
Winds were estimated 30 mph as the fire burned shortly after 2 a.m. Monday in the 55400 block of Haugen Lehmann Way, according to Cal Fire.
A fire stoked by 30-mile-per-hour winds damaged a mobile home, a motorhome, and two other vehicles early Monday on Haugen Lehmann Way in Whitewater, according to Cal Fire.
The fire was reported at 2:01 a.m. in the 55400 block of Haugen Lehmann, just north of Interstate 10, said Jody Hagemann of Cal Fire-Riverside County.
"Firefighters arrived on scene to report a fully involved home with several vehicles in the driveway," Hagemann said. "Winds are 30 mph."

At 2:33 a.m., Hagemann reported power lines were down, and one mobile home, a motorhome and two vehicles were involved in the fire.
The fire was declared contained at 2:55 a.m., Hagemann said.

One woman was displaced. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was being investigated.
A motorhome has wheels and an engine, and a mobile home does not, Hagemann said.
Haugen Lehmann Way is just west of the junction of Interstate 10 and Highway 111 in the east San Gorgonio Pass.
