Wildfire in San Jacinto

The fire is in an olive tree orchard on the corner of Soboba Road and Chabela Drive.

Update 11:26 a.m.

Forward progress of the fire has been stopped and the fire was confined to a large spot in an abandoned olive tree orchard. Five engines will be on hand for a couple of hours to mop up, according to Cal Fire.

A wildfire broke out at 10:50 a.m. Monday morning in San Jacinto.

The fire is in an olive tree orchard at the corner of Soboba Road and Chabela Drive, according to Jody Hagemann, Cal Fire spokeswoman.

Seven engines with 55 fire fighters are on the scene battling the blaze.
