On the the heels of an investigative report by Banning-Beaumont Patch Editor Guy McCarthy into a delayed dispatch of crucial fire resources during the July 2013 Mountain Fire, a new report has expanded on what transpired-- and how Cal Fire is addressing the issue.

The Coachella Valley's KESQ News did a follow-up video news report to Patch's piece,  which contains some dramatic video from the blaze that ultimately ended up costing an estimated $25 million to fight.

Would it have made a difference, not on this fire but perhaps other incidents. As ifpd is there own entity, another agency can't just go dispatching them willie nillie to what they feel like sending them to, an agreement has to be in place and a boundary drop is a good choice. Reitz sees this problem, he should get it fixed.
