Vehicle Slams Into Power Pole in Cabazon

The California Highway Patrol and Cal Fire responded to the scene, but say no one was hurt in the crash.

A vehicle crashed into a power pole in Cabazon Monday evening, but no one was hurt in the incident, officials report.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened just after 6 p.m. near the intersection of Esperanza Avenue and Broadway Street.

Cal Fire sent a crew to the scene, but no one needed medical attention after all, according to Melody Hendrickson of the Riverside County Fire Department.

The pole had "minor damage" according to the CHP, and no outages were immediately reported according to Southern California Edison's "outage center" website.
