Two engine companies and two ambulance crews responded, where they found "extreme damage to the exterior glass of the storefront," Hendrickson said.

"The occupant of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and will be transported to an area hospital via ground ambulance," Hendrickson said. "A store employee sustained minor injuries and will also be transported to an area hospital via ground ambulance. A third patient refused hospital transport."

American Medical Response and Cal Fire were among the agencies at the scene. It was not clear from Cal Fire's account which law enforcement agency investigated the crash.
