A vehicle crashed into a Banning clothing store in a strip mall Saturday afternoon and two people, including a store employee, were hospitalized with minor injuries, according to Cal Fire.
The crash was reported at 2:44 p.m. Jan. 4 in the 300 block of South Highland Springs Avenue, Melody Hendrickson of Cal Fire-Riverside County said in a statement.
Two engine companies and two ambulance crews responded, where they found "extreme damage to the exterior glass of the storefront," Hendrickson said.
"The occupant of the vehicle sustained minor
injuries and will be transported to an area hospital via ground
ambulance," Hendrickson said. "A store employee sustained minor injuries and will also be
transported to an area hospital via ground ambulance. A third patient
refused hospital transport."
American Medical Response and Cal Fire were among the agencies at the scene. It was not clear from Cal Fire's account which law enforcement agency investigated the crash.
