Update: Body Found in Badlands Near Beaumont Identified, Murder Investigation Underway
A body that was discovered in the Badlands area between Moreno Valley and Beaumont last week has been identified-- and police now believe the man was murdered.
A body discovered last week in the Badlands has been identified as a 35-year-old Riverside man, officials said Monday.
Thomas James Fulk was found off the side of Jack Rabbit Trail, near the 60 freeway on Oct. 29, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Sergeant Jeff Buompensiero.
An autopsy was conducted the next day, he said.

"Based upon the results of the autopsy this case will be handled as a homicide," the sergeant said. "The cause of death will not be released at this time."
