Two Men Accused of Five Burglaries in Four Days in Banning; Allegedly Broke In Through Roofs

A Banning man is again behind bars for his alleged involvement in break-ins in that city, police said. This time, police say he hit up several businesses in a short time span, via their roofs.

A Banning man who has made headlines for his suspected involvement in multiple local crimes is again behind bars-- this time, with an alleged accomplice in relation to five commercial roof-top burglaries committed over the course of four days, police said Friday.

28-year-old Christopher Noone, along with 24-year-old Dezma Robinson, were arrested Wednesday, according to a statement from the Banning Police Department.

According to the police report, the two men are believed to have broken into a smoke shop three times, a computer repair shop once and an Italian restaurant once.  It's believed the two entered the businesses via their roofs.

"The businesses, The Smoke Shop at 1393 W. Ramsey St. (broken into three times), Banning Techno (computer repair shop) at 66 S. San Gorgonio St., and Johnny Russo’s at 1335 W. Ramsey St., were all entered under similar circumstances constituting what investigators are calling roof top burglaries," according to the report.

Police say Noone was caught red-handed in the early morning hours Wednesday, with burglary tools in-hand, near the site "where a majority of the burglaries occurred."

"Officers found that Noone possessed items stolen from the burglary at Banning Techno," the report states.

Though Noone was the only one spotted by police on Wednesday morning, a search warrant subsequently served in the 1400 block of W. Hays street led them to the other suspect.

"Officers located a second suspect that was identified as another Banning transient, Dezma Robinson, age 24," the report states.  "At the residence, Officers located additional stolen property."

As of Friday evening, both men remained locked up at the Banning jail on burglary charges, in lieu of $5,000 bail, according to inmate records.

Christopher Noone has been arrested by local authorities in other high-profile cases.

Most recently, he was arrested while allegedly trying to burglarize a local middle school on June 30, according to police.

According to court records, Noone is on probation for a guilty plea he made of child endangerment.  The misdemeanor charge is in relation to an Oct. 18, 2012 arrest, when child protective services took his 6-month-old away because of the unsafe living conditions found in his Banning home, which included wires hanging over the child's crib, according to the District Attorney's office.
