Two Killed in I-10 Crash on Easter Sunday

Two people were reported killed in Calimesa on Interstate 10.

Two people were killed Sunday in a crash on Interstate 10, according to Caltrans and California Highway Patrol reports.

Caltrans officials warned motorists of the crash just about 2 a.m. but neither they nor the CHP had released many details by early 3 a.m.

The incident was reported at 1:27 a.m. on the eastbound I-10 east of Cherry Valley Boulevard in Calimesa. Officers had closed the slow lanes and had been diverting traffic to the center divider, according to CHP reports.

The entire freeway was briefly closed to allow a sweeper to clean debris from the roadway.

No other information was immediately available.

How soon till names and details released? I could bet drinking n driving had something to do with it. NEVER LET MR. ALCOHOL DRIVE! someone driving with their children could of been innocent victims in a case like this. Terrible to hear this story but, pfobably more terrible to hear it was yet ANOTHER alcohol related death's.

Yes, and the sad thing is, that some people don't believe that BUZZ driving is DRUNK driving.

It was very bad. I am shocked that only 2 people were killed. There was one truck on the right hand shoulder, a van (?) on it's side about 20 feet in front, It looked like another car was in a ditch just to the right of the truck and a little black car about 25 yards down the road against the center divider. Approximately 1/2 mile down further was another rice burner looking car, looked to have spun out of control and his tail end was slammed into the fence. He probably was watching out of his rearview mirror his friend crashing. Causing him to lose control. con't

The vehicles were so mangled you couldn't tell what they were There was so much debris on the fwy. Sadly it looked like someone was on a trip. Water bottles, soda, stuff everywhere!!! My thinking was that the car down the fwy and the black car against the center divider were possibly racing and the other two vehicles were, unfortunately in the wrong place at the wrong time. If I had not stood at my car talking to my family members as long as I had, I too could have been one of the victim's in this horrible accident. My heart and prayers go out to the family and friends that lost their love ones and to the others that are suffering for some someones else irresponsibilities. To the ones that caused this accident (the guilty hardly ever get hurt) may you suffer within yourself the pain and the life changing events that you have brought on to innocent people. Suffer in guilt, hate yourself and when you get out of jail. Try to help make a difference in your community, volunteer your time to feed the homeless, do yard work for the elderly, SOMETHING good. OR YOU WILL ROT In HELL!

S Blackwell first of all your lack of knowledge and wreck less comments are mor damaging to everyone involved. First of all I'm sure you do not live a life that is free from sin so please don't throw stones. People are hurting and the last thing anyone needs is somebody like you on here saying rude hurtful things. Both families are dealing with loss right now and both need love and support And prayer You might just want to also find an altar and repent and ask for some forgiveness judge lest be judge be careful when your pointed those fingers you always have three pointed right back at you. My rule to my self is I will always judge myself first when my house is perfect which it isn't and it will never be so I leave judgement up to God himself. You might try that because I really don't appreciate what your words have done to any of these innocent hurting people today some of them being my family members. So if you don't mind please refrain from your harsh judgement before knowing all the facts. Thank you in advance God Bless you!
