Two Killed, Four Injured in Crash on Gilman Springs

Two people were killed and four others were injured in a crash Saturday night on Gilman Springs Road south of the Badlands and west of Beaumont, according to Cal Fire.

The crash was reported at 10:42 p.m. Dec. 21 on Gilman Springs between the junction with State Route 60 and Alessandro Boulevard, east of Moreno Valley, Jody Hagemann of Cal Fire-Riverside County said in a statement.

Three engine companies responded to a traffic collision involving three vehicles with people trapped. There were two confirmed fatalities and four patients said to be critically injured, Hagemann said.

Four patients were transported by ambulance crews to local hospitals, Hagemann said.

The California Highway Patrol was investigating.
