Two Hospitalized in Two-Vehicle Crash on Winchester Road

Two vehicles crashed Wednesday morning on Winchester Road southwest of Hemet and two people were taken to hospital by ambulance crews, according to Cal Fire.

The crash was reported at 7:13 a.m. Jan. 8 at Winchester and 9th, Mark Annas of Cal Fire-Riverside County said in a statement.

Sixteen firefighters responded and found a traffic collision involving two vehicles with one person trapped, Annas said.

"One patient was extricated and transported via ground ambulance to an area hospital with moderate to major injuries," Annas said. "One additional patient was transported via ground ambulance to an area hospital with moderate to major injuries."

The injured people were not identified. Agencies that responded included American Medical Response and the California Highway Patrol.
