Two Banning Residents, Ages 15 and 22, Wounded in Suspected Gang-Related Shooting

Gunfire was reported at 8:57 p.m. Monday outside the Shopping Basket Market at 2217 W. Ramsey St. in Banning, police said. Two shooting victims turned up later at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital's emergency room, police said.

Two Banning residents were shot and wounded Monday night in the Shopping Basket Market parking lot on West Ramsey Street, police said Tuesday.

Police described the shootings as gang-related attempted murder.

Gunfire outside the Shopping Basket at 2217 W. Ramsey was reported at 8:57 p.m. Monday, Banning police said.

Police arrived and found evidence a shooting had occurred but no shooter and no victims, according to police.

A shirt time later, police were notified of two gunshot victims at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital's emergency room.

The victims, two Hispanic males, ages 22 and 15, received wounds that were not life threatening, police said.

Information gathered at the shooting scene indicated the suspects were two Hispanic males seen leaving in a gray-colored, four-door sedan, police said.
