Train Catches Fire in Cabazon

The fire was located in "the motor compartment of a Union Pacific train locomotive," according to Cal Fire spokeswoman Jody Hagemann."

A train caught fire at around 6:15 this morning in Cabazon.

Three Cal Fire engines responded to the scene, which was on Railroad Avenue, 1/4 mile west of Haugen Lehmann Way, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The fire was located in "the motor compartment of a Union Pacific train locomotive," according to Cal Fire spokeswoman Jody Hagemann.

All train personnel were removed from the car and no one was harmed.
