A vehicle struck a tree early Sunday in Banning, critically injuring two people and forcing their extrications from the wreck, fire officials said.
The crash on the westbound Interstate 10 exit ramp at Sunset Avenue was reported shortly before 1 a.m., according to Jody Hagemann, with Cal Fire/Riverside County fire.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
A condition report was not immediately available.
