Three Suspects Flee Reported Stolen Vehicle in Cabazon

Two men and a woman were arrested on suspicion of felonies including taking a vehicle without owner consent, receiving stolen property and possessing a controlled substance, deputies said.

Three people from the San Bernardino area were arrested Monday in Cabazon after a deputy stopped a reported stolen vehicle and all three tried to run into the desert, a sheriff's lieutenant said.

A deputy made the traffic stop at about 7:30 a.m. Monday on Railroad Avenue next to Interstate 10 in east Cabazon.

All three people in the vehicle ran but more deputies responded and the suspects were taken into custody, sheriff's Lt. Ruben Navarro of the Cabazon Station told Patch.
