Three Arrested on Suspicion They Burglarized Convenience Stores
All three suspects were booked into the Banning Jail.
Three people arrested during a traffic stop in San Jacinto in connection with a string of burglaries at gas station convenience stores were facing possible charges today, a sheriff's sergeant said.
Paul Kadella, 27; Daniel Burns, 22; and Danielle Schmitz, 26 -- all from San Jacinto -- were in a vehicle that was pulled over just before 3 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Menlo Avenue and South San Jacinto Avenue, said Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Rose McKinney.
The deputy who pulled the trio over "recognized the vehicle as one being used in thefts over a four-month period at several AM/PM stores located in the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley," McKinney said. "The total loss of the thefts is approximately $20,000."
