Three Arrested in Sheriff's Sex Offender Sweep of San Gorgonio Pass

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department, Cabazon Station, helped coordinate the efforts, which spanned from Calimesa to North Palm Springs.

Three men were arrested during a two-week series of sweeps targeting registered sex offenders in the western Coachella Valley, Cabazon and Cherry Valley areas, a sheriff's sergeant said Wednesday.

The sheriff's Cabazon Station Investigations Bureau and Special Enforcement Team conducted the sweeps Feb. 20 through Tuesday in the unincorporated county areas of North Palm Springs, Cabazon, Whitewater, Cherry Valley, and in the city of Calimesa.

More than 50 registrants and their residences were checked for compliance with court orders, and the sweep included six probation searches and three parole searches, according to sheriff's Sgt. James Burton.
