Three Arrested in Cherry Valley after Drug Investigation
During the search, investigators found several grams of tar heroin, a gram of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, a loaded handgun with the serial number removed and a car that was reported stolen in June.
Three Cherry Valley people were arrested Friday morning on drug charges.
Acting on a search warrant that was the result of a 6-week-investigation into illegal drug trafficking, the Riverside Sheriff's Department conducted a search of the residence on Friendship Drive at 9:15 a.m., according to the the sheriff's department.
During the search, investigators found several grams of tar heroin, a gram of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, a loaded handgun with the serial number removed and a car that was reported stolen in June.
51-year-old Edward Hastings of Cherry Valley and his caretaker, 21-year-old Sally Reeder were arrested on drug and weapons charges. Hastings also got charged with possession of the stolen car. A third person, Carl Lufkin, 43, of Cherry Valley, was arrested on drug charges and an outstanding felony warrant issued for parole violation, a spokesperson said.
