SWAT Teams Target Long Beach Gang's Riverside County Ties

SWAT teams Wednesday morning raided locations in various jurisdictions as part of a multi-agency investigation into nearly 100 commercial burglaries allegedly committed by members of a Long Beach gang in five counties, including Riverside.

Ten search warrants were served beginning at 5 a.m., said Seal Beach police Sgt. Philip Gonshak.

Details of the operation, including number of arrests, will be released at a news conference this afternoon at the Seal Beach police station.

Crimes allegedly were committed in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties, Gonshak said.
