STANDOFF UPDATE: LoJack Signal Led to 4 Arrests at Beaumont Avenue Home

The standoff lasted about four hours Sunday night in the 900 block of Beaumont Avenue, across from the post office, according to witnesses, law enforcement and inmate records.

The standoff Sunday night on Beaumont Avenue resulted in four arrests, and one of the suspects was held Monday evening on multiple felonies, according to inmate records.

The arrested were identified by Beaumont Chief of Police Frank Coe as:

Robert Whitecloud Trujillo, 23, of the Soboba Indian Reservation. He was booked early Sept. 24 on suspicion of two counts of taking a vehicle without owner's consent, receiving known stolen property, possessing a controlled substance, assault with a firearm, firearm possession and possesion of ammunition by a felon, and possession of burglary tools, according to inmate records.

Amanda Rose Lugo, 51, of Beaumont. She was booked on suspicion of being an accessory, resisting an officer, and violating probation, according to inmate records.

Harvis Armstrong III, 38,  Beaumont. He was booked for resisting an officer, according to inmate records.

Trujillo was held Monday night without bail. The Lugos were held on $5,000 bail each. Armstrong was released Monday on $2,500 bail.

The standoff in the 900 block of Beaumont Avenue lasted about four hours according to witnesses, law enforcement and inmate records.

It began after an off-duty Hemet police officer driving in Beaumont "received a LoJack activation of a stolen vehicle" taken Sunday in San Jacinto, Coe said.

"Before officers could get into place the subject pulled into the yard in the 900 blk of Beaumont Avenue and ran into the house," Coe said Monday. "Due to history of weapons at residence a SWAT team was requested."

No one was injured in the standoff, which drew scores of onlookers who waited to see what would happen.

Inmate records show Amanda Lugo was arrested at 6:23 p.m., Sarah Lugo was arrested at 7:05 p.m., Armstrong was arrested at 9:46 p.m., and Trujillo was arrested at 10:24 p.m.

The Lugos came out of the home after verbal requests, and Trujillo was located during a probation search of the property, Coe said Monday.

Trujillo and the Lugos were scheduled to appear in court Wednesday in Banning. Armstrong has a court appearance scheduled in November.
