Slides Reported on Highway 243 Near Lake Fulmor in San Jacinto Mountains

A plow truck was called out to deal with the slides, which were described by CHP as "mud, dirt or rock slides."

Mud, dirt or rock slides were reported Sunday afternoon on Highway 243 near Black Mountain Trail, north of Lake Fulmor, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The slides were reported at 4:02 p.m. on Highway 243 just north of at mile marker 16, according to the CHP.

A Caltrans plow truck was called out to deal with "rocks in the roadway." according to the CHP.

Erosion was expected in steep areas of the San Jacinto Mountains as from storms that ended Saturday continued melting Sunday.
