Sheriff's Investigators Seek Suspects in Coachella Shooting

The attack was reported about 1 a.m. Sunday in the 86000 block of Calle Pizano.

A man was recovering Sunday from a gunshot wound to the face in Coachella and sheriff's investigators sought answers as to the motive, and suspects in the case.

The attack was reported about 1 a.m. Sunday in the 86000 block of Calle Pizano, according to a Riverside County sheriff's sergeant.

The victim was attending a party in that block, Sgt. Mike Tapp said.

Deputies were called to John F. Kennedy Hospital, where the man was taken following the shooting, Tapp reported.

He was later transferred to Desert Regional Medical Center, the sergeant wrote in a news release.

No suspect description was immediately available, the sergeant said.
