Seven Injured in Vehicle Rollover on EB 10 in Banning

The California Highway Patrol reported several children were in the vehicle. Cal Fire reported seven people were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Seven people were injured, including several children, in a vehicle rollover Friday afternoon on eastbound Interstate 10 near 22nd Street in Banning, authorities said.

The accident was reported at 3:21 p.m. on the eastbound 10 just east of 22nd Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Firefighter-paramedics responded and identified seven patients with minor injuries, said Melody Hendrickson of the Cal Fire-Riverside County.

A total of four engine crews responded to the scene, Hendrickson said.

Several children were in the overturned vehicle, and initially some were trapped, according to the CHP.

By 3:27 p.m., all occupants of the vehicle were freed, and seven patients were transported via ground ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries, according to the CHP and Cal Fire.
