Search Warrant Served at Residence on Cherry Valley Blvd Thursday Morning

Investigators from the Cabazon Station were at the residence Thursday morning, sheriff's Lt. Ruben Navarro said.

Updated 2:42 p.m. The search Thursday morning on Cherry Valley Boulevard was for a marijuana grow reported at a residence, Sgt. Alan Meservey of the sheriff's Cabazon Station said.

"We did locate a small grow which consisted of approx. 24 plants," Meservey said. "The residents showed proof that they were dependent on the marijuana for medical purposes, and were permitted by law to have such plants. No one was arrested."

The search coincided with a time when many residents and students were driving to nearby schools, so there were a number of onlookers, Meservey said.
