Police are asking for the public's help in locating two men believed to be responsible for robbing a girl and her mother in San Jacinto.
Police reports indicate the girl was first punched, then robbed of her iPod, while her mother was then robbed of her purse, by two black male adults.
Sheriff's Sergeant M. Larson put the message out Monday for the two men who are described as follows:
- Suspect #1 is 5'08, 150 lbs, last seen wearing a red and grey striped hooded jacket and dark jeans.
- Suspect #2 is 5'05, 150 lbs, last seen wearing a black hat with a red and green emblem, a black jacket and dark jeans.
According to Larson, the alleged incident happened Sunday in a parking lot in the 1500 block of South San Jacinto Avenue, near Esplanade Avenue, when the two women were approached by the men described above, while getting out of their car.
"One suspect punched the daughter and took her iPod," Larson said. "Another suspect approached her mother and demanded her purse and property."
Two two suspects then left the parking lot in what was described as a dark colored, older model, unknown make van.
