Two people managed to escape injury in an apparent gang-related drive-by shooting in San Jacinto.

According to Riverside County Sheriff's Sergeant S. Agcaoili, the incident happened around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Second Street and Alessandro Avenue.

"The victims were walking on Second Street when the suspect drove by the victims, yelled gang-related epithets, pointed a handgun at them and fired one round from the suspect vehicle," Agcaoili said.

The man missed, though, and the two victims were not hit by the gunfire, according to the sergeant.

The following description was provided by authorities of the suspect:

Suspect #1 is described as a Hispanic male with a bald head. The suspect vehicle is described as a newer white-colored extended cab pickup truck. No further description.
