A man who had been shot Monday in Hemet got behind the wheel of a car, and crashed into another vehicle while he was driving, police reported.

The man– whose identity is being withheld at this time– was apparently shot in the 1100 block of west Rosalia Ave., near Palm and Florida avenues Monday morning, according to Hemet Police Lieutenant Duane Wisehart.

Police didn't find out about the shooting, though, until the man crashed his car about a half mile away at around 12:30 p.m.
