Update: Booking photo of Aguirre released. Full story here.
Original story as follows:
A parolee sought by police was arrested Tuesday -- allegedly in possession of a gun and drugs and having driven a stolen car.
Don Aguirre, 37, of Beaumont was tracked down by the Hemet police Parole Apprehension Team in the 2700 block of West Devonshire Avenue-- near Florida and Sanderson avenues-- where he was taken into custody without incident around 1:30 p.m.
Aguirre had been sought for suspected parole violations. When investigators raided the apartment in which he was residing, they allegedly uncovered an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine, ammunition and a stolen gun, according to Hemet police Lt. Eric Dickson.
The vehicle that Aguirre, a convicted felon, had been using was determined to be stolen as well, Dickson said.
Aguirre was booked into the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of possessing illegal drugs and weapons and parole violations. Bail information was not immediately available.
