PHOTO GALLERY: Vehicle Rollover Causes Fire and I-10 Lane Closures

Multiple fire agencies arrived at the scene of a brush fire along the westbound Interstate 10 near Cabazon shortly before 4:15 Sunday.

A truck went off Interstate 10 near Cabazon Sunday, catching fire and torching about an acre of surrounding brush, officials said.

The fire was reported about 4:15 p.m., as a vehicle fire on the westbound I-10 Whitewater Cutoff Road exit ramp, said Sandy Nieman, with the Bureau of Land Management.

High winds fanned the flames along the frontage road  but firefighters from Riverside County, the U.S. Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management quickly stopped the spread.
