One Suspected DUI Driver Nabbed in Beaumont Checkpoint

Two people were arrested total.

Beaumont police arrested a total of two people at a recent DUI/driver's license checkpoint in town, officials announced this week. 
 
The checkpoint was held Friday, July 11, near the intersection of 6th Street and Beaumont Avenue, according to police.  It started at 7:30 p.m. and lasted almost six hours. 
 
Police representatives tell Patch that one person was arrested for DUI and another was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
 
Three vehicles were towed and seven drivers were cited for driving without a valid license, police said.
