One Person Hospitalized After Vehicle Goes Off SR 60 in Badlands

The collision happened around 5 a.m. on the westbound 60, near the Gilman Springs Road turnoff, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

 A motorist was injured Thursday in a two-vehicle crash on the Moreno Valley (60) Freeway that sent one car careening into a ditch.

Crews arrived to find one vehicle disabled along the freeway center divider, while the other car was at the bottom of a 20-foot embankment, a fire department spokeswoman said.

She said occupants of both vehicles were able to climb out of the wreckage.

One person suffered minor injuries and was transported to Riverside County Regional Medical Center in Moreno Valley for treatment.

The California Highway Patrol was investigating the cause of the crash.
