One Hospitalized After Crashing 150+ Feet Down Highway 74

One person was seriously injured Tuesday when a vehicle veered off Highway 74 near Pinyon Pines and plunged 150 feet, a county fire department spokesman said.

The crash was reported about 6:55 a.m. on Highway 74 at mile marker 82. 

"One patient was ejected from the vehicle," Riverside County Fire Department spokesman Mark Annas said.

The victim was airlifted to a hospital with major injuries, Annas said.

No other injuries were reported.
