Multiple Crashes on Interstate 10, Other Roads as Storm Moves Thru the Pass
Between 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Friday, the California Highway Patrol reported more than a dozen different incidents in the Pass area.
Numerous vehicle crashes and other problems were reported on Interstate 10 and other roads Friday afternoon as a wet, cold storm moved east to west through the San Gorgonio Pass.
Between 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Friday, the California Highway Patrol reported more than 20 different incidents in the Pass area.
Beginning with a crash on State Route 79 in Lamb Canyon, the CHP reported crashes on the 10, the 60 Freeway, Highway 243, and State Route 62.

The list included:
- At 5:10 p.m., a vehicle spun out and struck the mountainside in Lamb Canyon on SR 79 north of the landfill turnoff.

- At 4:41 p.m. two vehicles on the side of the road, one person with a head injury on the eastbound 10 just west of Sunset in Banning.
- At 4:05 p.m. a blue Toyota Camry off the side of SR79 at Gilman Springs Road.
- At 3:54 p.m. a silver truck went off the eastbound 10 east of Hargrave in Banning and struck a tree.
- at 3:48 p.m. a silver sport utility vehicle struck a center divider at SR 70 and Gilman Springs Road.
- At 3:42 p.m. a black Honda rollover was reported on State Route 62 north of Indian Canyon Drive.
