Mountain Road Crash Victim ID'd Tuesday as 22-Year-Old Redlands Resident

A vehicle went off Highway 38 above the Forest Falls turnoff Sunday, and CHP found the deceased victim in a ravine, San Bernardino County coroner officials said. Fabien Alain Lovis, 22, of Redlands, was ID'd by the coroner Tuesday.

A Redlands man was publicly identified Tuesday as the crash victim found deceased in a ravine Sunday next to Highway 38, between Angelus Oaks and the Forest Falls turnoff, coroner's officials said.

The California Highway Patrol received a 9-1-1 call at 3:53 p.m. Sunday reporting a vehicle over the side on the 38, about two-and-a-half miles uphill from Forest Falls turnoff in Mill Creek Canyon, San Bernardino County coroner's officials said.

The CHP officers at the scene found a man "ejected out of the vehicle down in a ravine" and confirmed his death, coroner's officials said.

It appeared the man was the driver and only occupant of a 2006 Ford Focus, coroner's officials said.

On Tuesday, coroner's officials publicly identified the deceased man as Fabien Alain Lovis, a 22-year-old resident of Redlands.
