Motorist Killed on Ramona Expressway

The crash happened late Tuesday night, and Wednesday officials identified the victim.

Authorities Wednesday identified a motorist who was killed in a crash near San Jacinto.

Angel De La Torres, 58, of San Jacinto died at the scene of the crash, which occurred about 10:10 p.m. Tuesday on Ramona Expressway about a mile east of Bridge Street, the Riverside County Coroner's Bureau reported.

According to the preliminary investigation, De La Torres was driving a car that went off the expressway and rolled several times, ejecting him from the vehicle, the coroner's bureau reported.

The crash was being investigated by the California Highway Patrol.
