Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Idyllwild
The crash was reported at 1:56 p.m. at Highway 243 and Marion View Drive, according to Cal Fire.
A motorcyclist was critically injured Sunday in a crash on Highway 243 at Marion View Drive in Idyllwild, according to Cal Fire.
The crash was reported at 1:56 p.m. Sept. 16, Melody Hendrickson of Cal Fire-Riverside County said in a statement. Two engine crews and one ambulance crew responded.
"First arriving engine company reported a solo motorcycle off the road," Hendrickson said. "The Idyllwild Fire Medic Unit transported the patient to a waiting MERCY AIR ambulance who then transported the patient to an area hospital with major injuries."

Marion View Drive crosses the 243 south of Idyllwild's town center, near a curve. Idyllwild is in the San Jacinto Mountains south of Banning, Beaumont and the rest of the San Gorgonio Pass.
