Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on 243 Near Lake Fulmor, Airlifted by Helicopter Crew

A motorcyclist was injured in a crash Sunday evening near Lake Fulmor on Highway 243, and a helicopter crew flew the patient to a hospital, a Cal Fire spokeswoman said.

The crash was reported at 6:17 p.m. Oct. 27 on the 243 between Poppet Flats and Pine Cove, according to Jody Hagemann of Cal Fire-Riverside County.

The incident commander requested the patient be flown by airship due to moderate to major injuries, Hagemann said. The Highway Patrol closed Highway 243 in both directions near Lake Fulmor to land the air ambulance.

An update on the unidentified motorcyclist's condition was not available Monday morning.
