Moreno Valley Man Suspected of Deadly Stabbing in Downtown Riverside

Bruce Mackey, 41, of Moreno Valley was found dying on the street from a stab wound this weekend.

Riverside police have arrested a suspect in the stabbing of a man found dying on the street outside a music venue in the historic downtown area, authorities said Monday.

"Homicide investigators were able to identify Victor Anthony Ramirez, a 40-year-old Moreno Valley resident as the suspect in this crime," Riverside police Sgt. Dan Russell said. They served a search warrant at Ramirez's residence Sunday and arrested him without incident, he said.

Riverside County sheriff's inmate records indicate Ramirez was arrested at 9 p.m. Sunday and was booked for suspicion of murder into the Robert Presley Detention Center with bail set at $1 million and a Wednesday arraignment set.
