The body of a dead man was found in a gulch near the San Gorgonio Pass in Cabazon, but sheriff's authorities do not believe foul play was involved, a sergeant said Sunday.
Deputies were dispatched at 7:48 p.m. Saturday to a wash west of Elm Street and south of Bonita Avenue where they found the dead man, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. James Burton said. It was not immediately known how long the man's body had been there.
Burton said the man's name was being withheld until it can be confirmed, but coroner officials said his relatives have been notified. An autopsy is pending.
