Man Suffers Injuries In Paragliding Mishap

The man, who sustained moderate injuries, was transported by ground ambulance to an area hospital.

A 25-year-old paraglider has been hospitalized following an accident in Gilman Hot Springs.

A call of a “paraglider down” at Soboba and Gilman Springs roads was received at 2:57 p.m. Sunday, according to a report from Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson.

While it's not immediately clear what may have gone wrong, Hendrickson reported the male paraglider landed approximately 150 feet above Soboba Fly Park in a ravine and was extricated from the area by helicopter at approximately 3:55 p.m.
