Injured Man Rescued by Cal Fire Helicopter Crew in San Jacinto Mtns

The rescue occurred Tuesday afternoon in a remote trail area near San Jacinto Peak, according to Jody Hagemann of Cal Fire-Riverside County.

A Cal Fire helicopter crew plucked an injured man from the San Jacinto Wilderness on Tuesday, a Cal Fire spokeswoman said.

The hoist rescue occurred before sundown Tuesday in a remote trail area near San Jacinto Peak, in the San Bernardino National Forest, Jody Hagemann of Cal Fire-Riverside County said.

The man was taken to the Forest Service Cranston Station on Highway 74 east of Hemet, according to Hagemann. He had minor to moderate injuries and he was to be hospitalized.
