Hydraulic oil leaking from a tractor trailer Monday prompted shutdown of Interstate 10 ramps at Main Street, a hazardous materials response, and evacuations of employees at the Cabazon Truck & Auto Stop, Cal Fire officials said.

The substance coming from the bigrig was initially described as "an unknown chemical leak" when it was first reported at 2:44 p.m. near the Cabazon Truck & Auto Stop, 50876 Seminole Drive, according to Cal Fire.

The truck and auto stop has a Shell station, and it is near the dinosaurs rest area on the north side of the 10.
