OC Woman Arrested in Cabazon on Suspicion of Possessing Meth, Weed

Andrea Braun, 48, of Huntington Beach, was booked at Smith Correctional Facility in Banning on suspicion of five felonies, according to inmate records.

A Huntington Beach woman was arrested Tuesday morning in Cabazon on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and marijuana, a sheriff's sergeant said.

A deputy "conducted a vehicle enforcement stop" about 5 a.m. Tuesday on Thunder Road, north of Seminole Drive, Sgt. Richard Beatty of the sheriff's Cabazon Station said.

The driver, identified as Andrea Braun, 48, of Huntington Beach, gave the deputy consent to search the vehicle, Beatty said. The deputy found a half-ounce of methamphetamine, a half-ounce of marijuana, and "a large amount of money," Beatty said.

Braun was the only person in the vehicle, and she was arrested, Beatty said.

She was booked at Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning on suspicion of five felonies, including possessing narcotics, according to inmate records.

Braun's bail Tuesday evening was listed at $25,000. She had a court appearance scheduled Thursday in Banning.
