Huntington Beach Man Jumps to Death from 6th Floor at Desert Resort

A man intentionally jumped to his death Tuesday from the sixth floor of JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort in Palm Desert, coroner's officials said in a statement.

The man was identified by the coroner as Jeffry Morrow, 64, of Huntington Beach. His next of kin has been notified.

The incident occurred just before 11 a.m. Sept. 17 at the resort, 74855 Country Club Drive, according to the coroner.

Morrow intentionally jumped from the sixth floor of the resort and came to rest in the hotel lobby, coroner's personnel said. He was pronounced deceased at 11:14 a.m.

Deputies at the sheriff's Palm Desert Station were investigating.
