House Fire Contained to Bedroom Thursday in Southwest Beaumont

The residential structure fire was reported at 10:42 a.m. in the 200 block of West 3rd Street, south of Interstate 10 and west of California Avenue, according to Melody Hendrickson of Cal Fire-Riverside County.

A fire inside a home in southwest Beaumont was contained to one bedroom and its contents Thursday morning, a Cal Fire spokeswoman said.

The residential structure fire was reported at 10:42 a.m. in the 200 block of West 3rd Street, south of Interstate 10 and west of California Avenue, according to Melody Hendrickson of Cal Fire-Riverside County.

Six engine crews totaling 20 Cal Fire personnel responded and declared the fire contained at 10:55 p.m., Hendrickson said.

The one-story, one-family home is in a mixed residential and commercial neighborhood between California and Grace avenues.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was said to be under investigation.
