A teenager sustained major injuries Monday in an off-road motorcycle crash near Beaumont and a helicopter crew transported him to a trauma center, a Cal Fire spokeswoman said.
The crash was reported at 2:09 p.m. Monday in a rural area near Beaumont described as Powerline Access Road and Manzanita Truck Trail, Jody Hagemann of Cal Fire-Riverside County said.
"The teenage male was rescued from the romote area and was transported by CAL FIRE Copter 301 to (a) regional trauma center with major injuries," Hagemann said in an update at 3:30 p.m.
Manzanita Truck Trail is south of Interstate 10 and east of SR Hwy 79, south of Beaumont, Hagemann said.
