Have You Seen This Man? Sheriff's Dept. Needs Help Finding At-Risk Elderly Man

A search was underway Friday for a 77-year-old Moreno Valley man with dementia who wandered away from home.

Charlie Edwards was last seen around 4:30 p.m. Thursday at a downtown Riverside bus terminal, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Edwards resides in the 25000 block of Alessandro Boulevard in Moreno Valley and may have become disoriented after leaving his residence, sheriff's officials said.

A bloodhound team was summoned to the location where he was last seen, but the trail went cold, said sheriff's Sgt. Victor Tejeda.

"Mr. Edwards is considered at risk," Tejeda said.

The missing senior is black, with short receding gray hair, mustache and a beard. He stands 5-foot-7 and weighs around 165 pounds. According to witnesses, he was last seen wearing a red sweatshirt, black Dickie pants and black athletic shoes.
