'Goats Gone Wild' in Fog on Cherry Valley Boulevard at Hannon Road: CHP

Goats loose in the road and on the roadside were reported at 8:20 a.m. Monday in the area of Cherry Valley Boulvard and Hannon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Several goats got loose in the fog Monday morning in Cherry Valley and prompted a traffic alert at Cherry Valley Boulevard and Hannon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

"Goats loose, in the road and on the roadside," the CHP reported at 8:20 a.m.

"Goats gone wild, running back and forth in the road, frolicking," the CHP reported at 8:22 a.m.

"And it's very foggy," the CHP added at 8:22 a.m.

The information came from people who phoned in the reports to the CHP.

There were no traffic accidents or mishaps reported related to the goats, a CHP dispatcher said in a phone interview.

"We haven't been able to get a unit there yet," the dispatcher said. "We've had two calls on it."

The semi-rural community of Cherry Valley includes some working farms. It is situated north and northwest of Beaumont in the west San Gorgonio Pass.
