Four Injured, One Critically, in Head-On Collision on Gilman Springs Road
The crash was reported just after 11 a.m. Tuesday near Gilman Springs Road and Alessandro Boulevard, in the west Badlands area, according to Cal Fire. One patient was trapped, said Melody Hendrickson Cal Fire-Riverside County.
Four people were injured, one of them critically, in a head-on crash Tuesday on Gilman Springs Road, west of Beaumont, a Cal Fire spokeswoman said.
The crash was reported at 11:03 a.m. at Gilman Springs and Alessandro Boulevard, said Melody Hendrickson of Cal Fire-Riverside County.
The first arriving engine company reported a two-vehicle head-on collision with four patients, Hendrickson said.

One patient was trapped in one of the vehicles and it took firefighters about 40 minutes to free the person, according to Hendrickson.
The trapped patient was freed by 11:49 a.m. and transported to a local hospital via ground ambulance in critical condition, Hendrickson said.

The other three patients - one with moderate injuries and two with minor injuries - were also transported to hospitals, Hendrickson said.
The California Highway Patrol reported briefly on the crash but did not respond, a CHP dispatcher said. The Riverside County Sheriff's Department was investigating, the CHP dispatcher said.
