Five Injured in Beaumont Crash, One Flown by Mercy Air Helicopter

Five people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Beaumont, and one patient was flown out by a Mercy Air helicopter crew, according to Cal Fire.

The crash was reported at 9:11 a.m. Sept. 3 at East 1st Street and Beaumont Avenue, Mark Annas of Cal Fire-Riverside County said in a statement.

Four engine companies responded to the crash scene, where at least one patient was trapped and required cut-and-rescue, Annas said.

Five patients were transported to hospitals, one with major injuries, one with moderate injuries and three with minor injuries, Annas said.

Agencies that responded included Beaumont police, American Medical Response and Mercy Air, Annas said.
