Firefighters did a cut-and-rescue Thursday to get a person with moderate injuries out of a crashed vehicle in Beaumont, according to Cal Fire.

The crash was reported at 2:31 p.m. Dec. 5 at Desert Lawn Drive and West Oak Valley Parkway, west of Interstate on San Timoteo Canyon Road, Mark Annas of Cal Fire-Riverside County said in a statement.

Two engine companies responded and one patient was "extricated from solo vehicle traffic collision" as of 3:05 p.m., Annas said in an update. The injured person was to be transported by ground ambulance to an area hospital.

American Medical Response personnel were on scene, Annas said. It was not clear from Cal Fire's account what law enforcement agency investigated the crash.
